They are a very small studio that only do ports on mobile or recently consoles. Rumours of a KOTOR remake started as early as 2015 and a recent report by Cinelinx have refuelled these rumours. In a 2019 interview the studio revealed its ambition "establishing bigger undertakings with big brands". Most recently they ported classic Star Wars games Jedi Knight: Jedi Acadamy and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast to Switch and PS4. It has also ported the original KOTOR to iOS. The Texas based studio started out in 1996 porting various PC games to Mac, including some Star Wars games. Thirdly there is the fact that Aspyr has worked on multiple Star Wars products before.
BioWare is the original creator of KOTOR. Secondly, as is pointed out by Russian website DTF, Aspyr has been hiring a lot of ex-BioWare Austin developers these past years. Furthermore the Combat Designer needs to be "passionate about Action Combat and have a love for RPGs". Level Designers are to assist in "quest scripting, quest content and level design" while the combat designer is needed to "create engaging encounters in a rich and immersive world" and "defining combat roles and crafting AI behaviors, to build interesting enemies and bosses.
Most mention them working on a "AAA Role-Playing Game in UE4" with "interactive conversations and narrative-driven cinematic content". First off the job listings: Aspyr has multiple openings available, from Designers in Combat, Levels and Cinematics to UI/UX and Animation. There's multiple things indicating Aspyr is involved from job listings, bringing in ex-BioWare Austin staff to past involvement with Star Wars. Aspyr Media could be the studio that is currently (co)developing the rumoured Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic remake/sequel.
